IPC

• IPC Media produces over 60 iconic media brands, with print alone reaching almost 26 million UK adults.

• IPC has been associated with many magazines since it started in the 1800’s.

• IPC has a vast diversity of magazines and offers a something for everyone.

Magazines IPC publishes

• IPC is appropriate publisher for a my Tune magazine as it has a broad range of magazines so therefore has a range of target audiences. Also IPC has is a well known publisher so will have a good knowledge of the magazine industry so therefore will be useful for starting out Tune. IPC also publish NME which is relatively similar to my magazine so therefore will know how to compete against other magazines published

by other companies.

Why I didn’t choose Bauer Media

I chose against Bauer as it has more of a niche audience in terms of music with magazines such as Kerrang, Q and Mojo which is more of a rock/punk genre which is not the specific genre Tune trying to target. Also, Bauer does other forms of media such as TV and websites so therefore I would feel Bauer might be too much for a first time magazine.
