I have been an active campaigner for betterlives for people with learning difficulties formany years. I am a member of People First andthe chair of the Learning Disability Alliance.

I am concernedabout the roadsafety near whereI live

I got together withothers to campaignabout this.

We organised apetition, got anarticle in the localpaper, spoke to ourMSP and to theCouncil.

We spoke to theCommunityCouncil.

I joined the Access Panel formy area because they wereconcerned about safety andaccess for disabled people.

Now I am a member ofmy Community Council.We talk about roads,anti-social behaviour,planning, judginggardens in Peebles - lotsof things to do withmaking Peebles better.Sometimes the policecome to our meetings.
