“men who understood the times and knew what Israel

should do”

1 Chron. 12:31

Roman Roads = Bad

Unholy product of an evil empire and used to bring in foreign armies and ideas

Built as the way to carry away our unwillingly given taxes

Houses of ill-repute all along the way

Dangerous- lots of thieves and robbers

What Satan intends for harm God wants to and will redeem

for good!

Roman Roads = Good

Used by the Lord and His apostles as the path upon which His Gospel would

travel to the ends of

the known world!

Connecting the unreached with Jesus and His Body via the technology that connects them to the world

Why do ministry with media?

1. It enables your people to interact with God’s message before they have the opportunity to meet with you/God’s people.

2. It helps you and seekers in your city/country to find one another and allows you to glimpse who really is seeking.

3. It helps you to share God’s word and story in new ways when you meet with the unreached.

Mobile enables people to get the Bible into their lives in a relatively easy and safe way (for them and us)

So how many copies of the Bible do you think I physically have on me right now?

And how many translations of the Bible am I broadcasting to you right now?

Why do ministry with media?

4. It enables you to share from God’s Word and leave it in an appropriate format with anyone you are evangelizing/discipling

5. It enables you to build into believers’ lives while you are apart

6. It enables local believers to do all of that (it’s REPRODUCIBLE)

7. It allows local believers to produce their own, culturally relevant media

Chad Bible stories on phones

One of the things I was working on

between trips concerns some

Arabic Bible story books which my

colleague is wanting to record and

turn into audio visuals.

…giving them a trial run with her nomad friends. So far so good! The test copies were well received and it looks like I will be doing some more.

We believe they will spread through the community much better from phone to phone than by any other method.

Who here has developed and memorized a story to use to share the things of God with a friend or neighbor?

What about combining that with the high quality digital recorder and “transmitter” in your pocket?

Do we really believe that we’re called to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth and to go where the unreached are?

Just like cigarettes and cola, cell phones have gotten there before us and yet, unlike cigarettes and cola, cell phones can enable the unreached connect with the Lord and His people

Do we really believe that we’re called to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth and to go where the unreached are?

There are roads that are already paved and available to carry the Gospel to the ends of the earth and they are waiting to be traveled on!

Yes, there be giants there…

What is the report you will bring back to your fields?(Num. 13:27-30)

The giants of our busyness, our inexperience and insufficiency, the security risks involved are all there waiting to devour us should we cross over into this land but if the Lord is in this and leading us to it, who is it that can stand against us?!!

Next Steps:

1. Seek out the Lord. Does He want your team/field to occupy this land?

If not, don’t do it. If yes,

don’t let the fear of giants keep you back!
