The average Internet Marketer generally has two main uses for content: Content

for their own web properties and content for third-party web properties that are

used to send traffic to or generate links to your own web properties.

The five tips presented below will help you do both of these things more

effectively:

1. Set Goals For Your Content

If the article you're working on is intended for SEO (to get indexed, so a link within

the content is counted as a backlink to your "money" site) then your goal doesn't

justify an hour or more to get it perfect. It should be readable and it should not

resemble machine generated content, but this type of content generally does not

justify that much time or effort on your part.

However, if the article you're working on is for your "money site" and you are

trying to become authoritative, then more time and effort

should be invested in order to attain that goal.

2. Consider Keywords, But Don't Overdo It

Every article on the internet, no matter where it is published, should be targeting

keywords within a particular topic. This isn't as important for SEO content (like

that mentioned above) than for money site content (your money sites are those

sites that you want to make money from), but it should always be considered

nonetheless.

Determine a primary topic that your page is going to be about and then find

several keywords that have some search volume with weak to moderate

competition and then, make sure each keyword is included NATURALLY in the

article at least once. DON'T stuff the article full of keywords. Just get as many

related keywords in the article as you can, while keeping the article readable and

valuable.

3. Don't Believe Google's Lies

For over a decade, Google has been trying to condition the minds of internet

marketers (with great success), to believe that only super high-quality, engaging

content will rank. That's simply not true. It never has been true and I don't believe

it will be true for a very long time, if ever.

There are literally, billions of web pages on the web and that number grows every

day. That enormous amount of content cannot be reviewed by humans. It is

utterly impossible. Those billions of pages of content are analyzed by machines.

Machines are incapable of figuring out what content is high quality and engaging.

Sure, they can figure out certain things that will flag some spammy content, but

as long as the content is readable (not garbled together), then they have no idea

whether it's engaging or not. So yes, keep the first point (above) in mind when

determining your goal, but for SEO content don't fall for their lies that it ALL

needs to be award winning content because it's just not true.

4. Use the Technology that is Available!

There is all kinds of technology out there that can help you create solid content.

Article Spinners are at the top of the list. If used improperly they can generate

slop, but when used correctly they can be used to save you a considerable

amount of time in creating quality content that search engines and even users

love!

5. Change it up to Extend the Reach of Each Piece of Content

In connection with point four, changing up the title and content of your articles

and creating similar versions, can drastically extend the reach of your content.

Again, Google and others have conditioned the minds of many Internet Marketers

so that they think doing this is evil. But the fact is, distributing various versions of

the same content does no harm to anyone and helps the Internet Marketer

promote his or her site! So why not do it?

If you consider and implement these tips, I am confident that your content

creation and marketing will reach a new level. Look out for the next PDF coming

your way in your inbox "The Value of Article Spinning."
