DESCRIPTION
Seeing the world through a fashionable lense. The fashion business has moved from its elitist insider ethos to a more inclusive broad interest category encompassing every aspect of our lives. So much so that now everything is fashion. This evolution prompted the formation of The Little Squares, a creative production studio focusing on intersections between fashion and culture. Led by veteran Vogue fashion and features editor Debra Scherer, The Little Squares has become a hub of writers, photographers, filmmakers, fashion editors and artists. Through shooting, editing, writing, designing and dreaming up ideas we produce an array of aesthetically driven editorial content both on and offline. We offer opportunities for brand partnerships through sponsorship of our publications and film series. Comprised of interviews, essays, photographic series, videos, recording sessions, fashion films and short documentaries, the content is inspired by the stories of our culture. We choose where to set the focus using the same trend spotting systems we use in fashion to predict what’s next, staying slightly ahead of the curve.

The Little Squares
The fashion business has moved from its
elitist insider ethos to a more inclusive
broad interest category encompassing
every aspect of our lives. So much so
that now everything is fashion. This
evolution prompted the formation of The
Little Squares, a creative production
studio focusing on intersections between
fashion and culture.
MissionSeeing the world through
a fashionable lense.
Led by veteran Vogue fashion and
features editor Debra Scherer,
The Little Squares has become a
hub of writers, photographers,
filmmakers, fashion editors
and artists. Through shooting,
editing, writing, designing and
dreaming up ideas we produce an
array of aesthetically driven
editorial content both on and
offline.
The Studio
We offer opportunities for brand
partnerships through sponsorship
of our publications and film
series. Comprised of interviews,
essays, photographic series, videos,
recording sessions, fashion films
and short documentaries, the content
is inspired by the stories of our
culture. We choose where to set the
focus using the same trend spotting
systems we use in fashion to predict
what’s next, staying slightly ahead
of the curve.
Brand Partnerships
A daily curation of digital
content mixed with our original
short documentaries, interviews,
links and favorite images from
all of our projects.
The Little Squares
Online
Our first print edition,
published September 2014,
is an old school ink on
your fingers broadsheet
newspaper that appeals to
all generations yearning
for something substantial
to keep and read over time,
satisfying a need to look
away from the screens in our
constantly connected lives.
The Zine
Unlike glossy magazines,
our zine is meant to be a
tactile companion to our
digital content, something
you can fold up and take
with you, tuck into your bag
and enjoy at home or on the
go. It is created, designed
and edited in our studio in
New York’s Flatiron District
and printed just across the
river in Long Island City.
The Zine
Our method is to shoot and style
from the gut, not reporting
on fashion, but creating
original expressions that
expose the constant circle of
references used by stylists and
designers alike. In response
to this merry go round, we
disrupt the ride proving that
yesterday’s vintage is likely
to be on tomorrow’s runway.
Fashion
A constant mix of creative and
fashionable arts and ideas
presented through interviews
and observations, with a focus
on all of the personalities
that they originate from.
Culture
Live dialogues about subjects
like nostalgia and the give and
take between analog and digital
aesthetics with accompanying
printed companion guides.
In Development
Radio programming bringing
our unique interview style
to the digital airwaves.
Our growing distribution encompasses a select
group of media, fashion, tech and entertainment
journalists, editors, designers, artists and
influencers in the U.S. and abroad.
