Evernote Effectively

Go to: https://evernote.com/download/

downloading Evernote

click Open

Then click Run

The Evernote clipboard will appear

Sign in to your account

Search Notes using keywords , locations and tags

This is the New Note Button

Click here to synchronize your account manually

Click here to create New Note

Or click here

a blank note will appear

these are the text formatting and layout tools

Type the title of your note

Type your notes here

your note will automatically be saved to Evernote and synced

across all your devices

To edit notes:

Open the note you want to edit

click anywhere inside the note

and the text formatting and layout tools will appear

click these tools to create checklists, bulleted lists and

numbered lists

Click this icon to create a line divider

click the square icon to insert a table

and tap Table Properties to get more options

then click OK

click the microphone icon to record audio

the recorded audio file

Tap the camera icon to take a snapshot

Click the clip icon to attach file

Locate the file you

want to attach

Then click on Open

Here is your attachment

Tap the Google Drive icon to attach files from Google

click the dropdown arrow to Share notes

then choose where you want to share your notes

Click Share Note

enter name or email and choose on the options provided

Click the clock button to set reminders

Set the date and time

reminders are pinned at the top

If your a Premium user click the small a icon to annotate

your note as PDF file

click Note Info to add additional

informations

Add Tags

Tap the trash can icon to delete a note

Click the Trash icon to Delete Forever or Restore Note

Type here to Search for notes

Notice that the searched text and note has been highlighted

click the up and down arrow to Add Search Option

Example: Click on Contains

Click on Incomplete to-dos then click Add

The note with incomplete to-dos list will appear

To download the Evernote web clipper

Go to: https://evernote.com/webclipper

Click GET WEB CLIPPER FOR CHROME

In your Google Chrome

Browser

Click this button

Click More tools

Then click Extensions

Click Get more extensions

From Search the store box

type evernote

then choose Evernote web clipper

Click + ADD TO CHROME

Click Add extension

Downloading web clipper

A new tab with elephant button appears

Click the elephant icon

Type Email or username and Password

click Sign In

Or click Create an Evernote account

Type the information in the box

and click Register

menu buttons will appear

click Save to clip the article

and it will start clipping the article

the article is now clipped in my notebook

log in to your Facebook account and share

click on Bookmark to bookmark the article

click on Screenshot button

drag and release to capture the region

then annotate using the different buttons

Drag the arrow on the desired position

Tap this button to add a text

Type the text

Tap this button to highlight an image or text

encircle the text you want

Click Stamp tool

Choose stamp

Drag and click stamp

Type or choose name of notebook where you want to put your notes

Add Tags

Add remarks

then click Save

Important Features

Getting you unique Evernote email

address

From the arrow down button click Account info

Click More Account Settings

This page appears

Scroll down to see your unique Evernote email address

Copy and Save your Evernote email address

for future use

Example if you want to save or send your email to Evernote

Just click the arrow down button and and click Forward

Place your Evernote email address

then hit Send

Your shared notes will be seen in Recent Chats or Work Chat

Click Atlas to see where you made your notes

Click Import Notes if you want to import files or notes from your computer to Evernote

Click Export Note if you want to export or download notes

for backup

Just choose on the options provided by clicking the arrow down button then click Save

To show Evernote content

related to web searches

From Web clipper click Options

then check “ Show Evernote content related to my web searches”
