Naomi Wolf• Naomi Wolf wrote the novel, The Beauty

Myth, which refers to the way in which females are portrayed through images set by the media. On my contents page, I think I contradict Wolf’s theory as the females that are used in the photo are seen thin and pretty whereas Wolf’s thinks all kinds of women should be shown on the front cover to not discriminate against people.

Marjorie Ferguson and Trevor Millum

• Marjorie Ferguson focuses on female facial expressions whereas Trevor Millum focuses on male expressions. The second image from the top shows a male and female, the female is seen with a smile on her face known as the super smile and the male is seen with a serious and solemn face reffered to as a practical or seductive facial expression. The next image down shows a female with a smile and her hands rested on her head which has influence of Millums theory of carefree but also the super smiler.

Marjorie Ferguson and Trevor Millum• The third and fourth image down shows a

female with a slight smile which Marjorie Ferguson would classify it under a chocolate box inferring that there is a slight smile with lips closed. The next image shows a medium shot of a male looking into the distance laughing which could be a mixture of a comic and carefree expression. The image third from the bottom is another super smile as you are able to see her teeth. The two male images at the bottom are shown to be catalogue and practical due to the serious facial expressions of both models.
