Mission Statement

Continuity of Sustainable Community

POLIS seeks to provide clean, safe, and affordable housing options for the

growing lower and middle classes of Mumbai, India. Using prefabricated

methods and sustainable technologies, POLIS will use ‘stackable’ structures

to combat the growth of slums. Through innovative partnerships and

community-led design session, POLIS will work to change the way homes

are designed and built. We believe well-designed homes should be affordable

and available to all.

Product● The ‘stackable’ homes will be placed within a

lattice-like structure, allowing for modules to be placed on top of and beside one another.

● The tower has a minimal projection area on the ground, making it ideal for dense urban area.

● Each unit is prefabricated and manufactured in our factory

● Units can be transported and built in hours● Sustainable features can include recycled

building materials used for construction, solar panels, and living walls

● Our product will be completely new to all of India

● Selling lifestyle and opportunity● Local print advertising● Local buyers are savvy, but we

do want advertising in non-English media outlets

● 80% of Mumbaikars take public transportation every day, so we will have a big advertising presence on the metro

● After building is assembled, management firm will take control over building and begin enacting finals sales with buyers

● In the charitable segment, local partner NGO’s will predetermine who is eligible for low income housing and distribute to consumers from there

- Real estate contributes to about 6.3% to India’s GDP
