All proceeds will go towards the funding of a college scholarship for this year’s recipient, Chloe Mills. Chloe Mills is the daughter of Staff Sergeant Travis Mills of the 82nd Airborne who was critically injured on his third tour of Afghanistan. Travis was injured by an IED while on patrol, losing portions of both legs and both arms. He is one of only five quadruple amputees from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to survive his injuries.
The primary mission of the Corporal Christopher Kelly Willis Foundation is the funding of college scholarships for the benefit of Michigan children who have lost their parent (or whose parent has been permanently disabled) in a combat zone. It is our belief that these families have also made the ultimate sacrifice.
Please RSVP by contacting Brooke Hovenkamp, Executive Assistant for the Willis Foundation at (269) 492-6579 or via email at [email protected]. Please mail payment to 491 W. South Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49007 or call (269) 492-6579.
