2 Creative Workshop BALANCING USER VALUE, COST & SCHEDULE

We learned that the effect of this workshop is bigger then the sum of all elements. If your product is at the end of its lifetime and needs a serious redesign it makes sense to rethink the product value proposition. Reengineering a product with todays technology will give you the opportunity to reduce cost and add value in one investment. We support this process with a

    unique concept.

    VALUE ENGINEERING

    3

    1. Investigate the target product for value

opportunities 2. Determine the value of the

opportunities and the effort to implement

    3. The opportunities, the profit value & the implementation effort are documented and reviewed

    1. A financial analysis and a Margin

Improvement Report are prepared and reviewed

    2. A concept model may be created to visualize the recommendations

    3. A Business Proposal document that defines the recommendations is prepared and reviewed

    1. Strategic look at the target and its life

cycle 2. Determine which components of product

cost will be investigated 3. Determine & Develop

    ADDED VALUE CREATION METHOD

    1. Ideation and conception of product

solutions using scenario based design 2. Build quick mockups to explore critical

space claims 3. Create overall product architecture

    concepts

    1. Explore critical use cases using quick

mockups 2. Balancing the innovation with lead-

time, product cost and budget 3. Repeating all above steps in a spiral

approach till an optimum is reached

    1. Understanding the end-customer and

user and their tasks (typical use-cases)

    2. Understanding existing solutions and their shortcomings

    3. Understand relevant available technologies
