Step 1www.google.com/analytics/
Hit “sign in”
Hit “Google Tag Manager”
Step 2Name your account
Step 3Name your container
Select “Web”
Hit “Create”
Accept T&C’s
Step 4Don’t cry.
Copy the code
Paste somewhere safe
Hit “OK”
Step 5Hit “Add New Tag”
Step 6Select “Google Analytics”
Hit “Continue”
Hit “Continue” again
Step 7Remember your UA Code
from Google Analytics?
Paste it into the field
that says “Tracking ID”
Hit “Continue”
Step 8Select “All Pages”
Select “Create Tag”
Step 9Name your tag
“GA Page View”
Hit “Save”
Step 10Publish your tag
Step 11Implement the Tag Manager Code
1.Log into the admin panel of your website
2.Access your theme editor a. This will be different for all platforms, this example is wordpress
3.Hit “proceed”
Step 12Access your theme header
Hit “proceed”
Step 13Find the <body> tag
Paste your GTM Code
Scroll down and hit
“Update File”
Accessing Your Data in Google AnalyticsGo to www.google.com/analytics
Hit “Sign In” and select “Google Analytics”
