How to Use Rimadyl for Dogs
The recommended dosage for dogs is 4.4 mg carprofen per kg of body weight daily.
The total daily body weight dose can be administered once a day or divided to dosage for administration twice daily.
Rimadyl should be given with food. Rimadyl tablets are scored and the dosage can be
calculated in half tablet increments. Rimadyl is for dogs only. Do not give to your cats. Duration of treatment will be dependent upon the
response seen. Long term treatment should be under regular veterinary supervision.
Facts & Warnings
Do not use in dogs suffering from cardiac, hepatic or renal disease, where there is a possibility of gastro-intestinal ulceration or bleeding, or where there is evidence of a blood dyscrasia or hypersensitivity to the product.
Avoid use in any dehydrated, hypovolaemic or hypotensive dog, as there is a potential risk of increased renal toxicity.
Before giving your pet any prescription or over-the-counter medications, check with your veterinarian or pharmacist.
Wash hands after handling the product. Do not store above 25°C. Store in a dry place. Protect
from light. Keep out of reach of children.
