Energy disequilibrium is at the origin of many aliments and pathologies: the recovery of this equilibrium and therefore of well‐being is achieved through the stimulation of the five elements and five senses and specific treatments. The five elements at the basis of the universe are: ether, air, fire, water and earth. According to Ayurveda philosophy originally the world was pure consciousness without matter, then vibrations gave birth to the most subtle element, ether, whose movement created air. Friction between these two elements generated heat and thus fire was born. Fire melted several substances and gave birth to water which cooled other elements and created earth.
