Kamran grew up in Irving Texas in a close knit family. He has two sisters, Roxanne Nezami and Ivy Waugh, with whom he has strong bonds. His father owned and operated a restaurant, where Kamran liked to sit at his favorite booth to read.


“I loved being able to get lost in my books while sitting alone in the big booth. I pretended I was a ship’s Captain and would take my vessel anywhere I wanted to go. It was my great escape. I had a vivid imagination.”


When not riding his boat to distant locales, Kamran was a Cub Scout from ages 8 to 11 and went on to be a Boy Scout until he was 14. “I met my life long best friend in Boy Scouts. We shared a love of adventure books and a wonder for Outer Space. He is a good-natured prankster, even to this day.”


The Dallas Cowboys

As a young child, Kamran found his love for both playing and watching football. A staunch Dallas Cowboys fan, Kamran began watching Sunday Night Football in the mid-70’s, a passion he carries today. He attended his first live Cowboys game in 1979, at Texas Stadium with his father.


He counts this game as one of his most cherished memories. He was greatly saddened when Texas Stadium was demolished in 2010 stating, “It’s one of those things that burns into your brain exactly where you were when it happened”. He has since attended countless games including several Super Bowls, naming Super Bowl XXVII as one of the most magical games ever played.

Kamran enjoys both the community aspect of hosting lavish viewing parties as well as limiting Sunday Night Football to an intimate family get-together.
