They are not also advisable pets for children since children always hold animals and chinchillas don’t want to be cuddled nor held.

Chinchillas like any other rodents like to chew in order to make their teeth healthy and filed down. Always provide them with something safe to chew rather than letting them chew on the bars of their neither cage nor food bowl. Chinchillas can create sounds too. Amazingly they can create a variety of squeaks, squeals and odd sounding barks. Oftentimes the sound they created came from their chewing, running in the wheel and when rearranging things inside their cage.
