Current Issue: There is currently a major increase in the male bueaty market and this is occurring due to males wanting to look good because of the way in which the media portray men to look in clothing adds such as Armani jeans or Calvin Kline underwear and also the ways that celebrities are made to look in magazines and TV on shows such as the only way is Essex and made in Chelsea. This has caused a major increase in young male appearance. Many young people are self conscious when leaving there homes, even to walk down the road to their local corner shop. I want to find out what young peoples opinions are on the male grooming market and see if men are becoming as self conscious to look good as much as women.

Target market: My documentary is targeted at young people aged between 16-25. This is because the issue has more of a relevance to them. Many young males don't tend to watch documentaries however because my topic has an has a impact on their day to day lives it should fit well into the market.

Gap in the market There is currently a documentary that is on channel 4 which very briefly Covers the facts in the intro about male grooming However, this show is mainly about a man who Is trying to become like a magazine fit model. It does not cover the in-depth growth of male groomingand how this effects young people. My documentary will be covering the aspect of weather males are becoming more self contusions about the way that they appear as much as women.

There is a large gap in the market for my documentary to fit in as there is no current show that explains the impact of male grooming and how it effects young people.
