These unique artist cases are currently available for the iPhone 5/5s & the iPhone 6 / 6 Plus. These cases are designed by artist from around the globe.
• When Kaylie and I first started Paper Crab two years ago, one of the fundamental goals that we both shared was to reach out to artists and use any medium at our disposal to showcase their work. With the rapidly growing technological revolution, it became clear to us that people from all walks of life shared one very similar tool – the iPhone. We all want something personalized that related to our inner being, something that makes us, as well as the people we love smile.
• It was important for us to collaborate with artist from all walks of life. We work with high-school students from Manila, College graduates from Romania, buskers from Fremantle, and close friends all around the planet. Once Kaylie and I have generated a unique idea (ie. A Messy Polar Bear eating a rocket-pop) and If the artist feels like he or she can produce something creative, we would encourage them to create a sketch. This process is hard work but also a lot of fun. The end result is an idea by us, interpreted by an artist, and printed using a digital laser printer.
• The iPhone case is a new medium of creativity. It’s a way in which artist can get their work recognized without being in a gallery or on a website. Furthermore, since the cost of acquiring an iPhone case is relatively cheap, most who could never afford to own a piece of art now can!
