GP Retail (3rd Party for Pick ‘n Pay) Key accounts manager for GP retail key responsibilities: Providing client with staff in various departments of the site. Areas of responsibilities - picking in both groceries and perishables. Receiving in both perishables and Grocery sheds – Receiving of stock from
Vendors. Checking SLED dates, checking quantities according to GRN and capturing information on SAPP system (managing processes accordingly).
Loading (outbound) in perishables & grocery sheds – Loading of stock going to stores ensuring the loaders follow correct procedures according to (SOP) as well as managing KPI per hour and making sure stock reaches correct stores preventing stock loss in return preventing store claims.
Reach truck and Forklift – which were responsible for moving stock from inbound into the DC, managing correct put away into assigned PND zones and from PND to assigned bin locations as well as correct replenishments to be done into picking bins.
Responsible for Monthly scorecards with PnP senior management. Responsible for driving short/over picks and hourly pick rate rapports as well as
managing the compliment of staff according to volume requirements. Do daily performance reports on SAPP. Staffing rooster and planning (staff compliment 500 +) both sheds combined. Responsible for managing daily targets. Sending out daily rapports on previous
day’s performance and communicate back to the business. Daily OPS meetings, weekly HOD meetings, Daily TMS meetings as well as
weekly Risk and safety meetings. Weekly timesheets. Health & safety Management. Risk Management. Client liaison and strong relationship building.

Daily maintenance on sites such as – Digistics Long meadow, Centurion and Midrand. Other sites such as Mass distribution and dawn logistics this maintenance entails all equipment repairs, rebuilding and assembling of new equipment (roll cages, standard & high security roll cages, tote bins ,hyper cages) all these equipment types are used for picking on in DC.
Also in charge of KZN PnP, MASS and Digistics ( same as above ) In charge of an offsite Warehouse where shipping containers are received and
equipment is put into stock. Most assembling of equipment is done here before delivered to new or existing clients.
Responsible for weekly meetings with clients with whom I share an exceptional relationship and service.
Monthly stocktake are done.

Calvin Young has been working under my supervision as a Groceries/perishables floor Manager and then became site manager for GP Retail Operations at Pick n Pay Longmeadow. He is a hard worker and has very strong leadership skills in the work place.
Calvin is a person who can work under tremendous pressure and never loses focus on what he’s been doing. Calvin reported to me on a daily basis and proper report feedbacks were given continuously. Calvin is an eager learner and always shows a great deal of interest.
