Skills • Ability to develop and implement a comprehensive OHS program including safety policies, procedures, safe work

practices, and forms.

• Ensure all records including training certificates, site observations/inspections, injury statistics, project safety documents are kept up to date in metric.

• Provide supervision and leadership to site safety representatives

• Oversee all projects and coordinate health & safety at each of the construction sites

• Perform periodic observations/inspections of all construction sites and prepare required reports

• Assist with supporting in incident investigations, claims management and liaising with provincial and federal regulators

• Conduct weekly safety meeting with sub-trades and review their health & safety programs to ensure compliance with WorkSafe BC

• Developing and training all staff on the OHS program and practices

• Review construction safety plans on all sites to ensure the Company is in compliance with WorkSafe BC policy requirements

• Reviewing and distributing documentation, preparation of correspondence and meeting minutes, maintenance of files and databases for necessary reporting metrics

• Coordinate the implementation of controls from results of hazards analysis. Measure and the effectiveness of hazard control system, policies and procedures and recommend changes that reflect improved opportunities to eliminate work place accidents and injuries

• Knowledgeable in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
