She’ll be right, Mate! Translation: No worries, my friend! This popular Kiwi slang/saying pretty much sums up life in New Zealand. It’s laid-back, fuss free, and easy living. We don’t like to sweat the small stuff, and we don’t like to rush. For many newcomers - this type of relaxed attitude is a major adjustment.

The Kiwi Lifestyle revolves around, barbecues, the beach, water sports, wining and dining, Rugby, Cricket, fitness, and of course, the great outdoors. We don’t have a ‘class system’, our government is stable and held accountable for its actions, we don’t take politics too seriously, our society is made up of honest, hardworking do-gooders, and our cafe culture (and coffee) is the best in the world. The scenery is clean and green, and you can drink water straight from the tap. And last but not least, we love to laugh, and embrace newcomers who take the time and make the effort to embrace New Zealand and our way of life.

Finding employment in New Zealand can be a very long process. Research, patience, and perseverance are essential; and it is important to note that New Zealand employers can be conservative when interviewing/hiring offshore job candidates. Questions to ask:- Is your occupation ‘skilled’? - Do you need to gain registration with a governing body in New Zealand? (E.g. Nursing Council, Engineering Council, etc.) - If the answer is yes, what are the steps to becoming registered? - Do you need to undertake further studies in your area of expertise and/or English Language testing?- Do you have the ‘right’ type of qualification and/or work experience in your field? - Do you have sufficient experience in your field? - Are your salary expectations (within a New Zealand context) reasonable? (E.g. some occupations are more highly paid in other countries than in New Zealand). Are you prepared to travel to New Zealand for a job interview?

Happy Clients: Sach AKariza Their Story: Myself and Kariza moved to NZ to pursue our careers in culinary. In our time here we have achieved a lot of things, proper job, good pay, friends and good NZ lifestyle. The one thing that stands out about NZ people is that they are friendly and very helpful, we have loved travelling throughout NZ and exploring the amazing natural beauty NZ has.

The treatment we received at Silver fern Immigration was amazing,

very friendly, helpful and patient. The Immigration application process is very stressful and the team at Silver Fern Immigration makes that stress go away with their experience. I have known Arno for over 6 years and would recommend Silver Fern Immigration for a smooth ride through an otherwise "very stressful" application process. They did great job with me and my partner’s Resident Visa application!
