Law enforcement in Australia: opportunities and trends for UK manufacturers

Embed Size (px)

DESCRIPTION

Australia and the UK share policing and security traditions, similar forces structures and parallel security threats and Australia continues to look to the UK as a partner of choice in this area. The annual combined budget for Australia’s state and federal police agencies now exceeds A$13 bn (approx £7bn) and the Australian police services are actively embracing new technologies to help them cost effectively police Australia's 8.5 million square kilometres. UKTI in conjunction with professional partner Peter Carter, gave British companies an overview of the sector in Australia, outlining what opportunities exist and giving UK manufacturers some tips on how to access them.
