• Dower money is a debt payable to a wife and she is within her legal right to even press for its payment.

• If the dower is not paid to the wife she can refuse her self to the husband and even can sue against her husband for the recovery of dower in court.

• Dower is the only right of woman that no one can snatch or finish it.

• It is totally on woman's will that how she utilize her dower[she may throw it away or gives it to someone even a stranger].

• The husband has no right to even ask about it from his wife.

If a man writes fifty tolas of gold in the form of Nikkah. He produces twenty tolas of gold at the time of marriage it is Prompt Dower.

The left over thirty tolas are now called as Deferred Dower ,And it is Debt upon him.

EXAMPLES

If the wife remit full or some part of dower in favor of her husband she is at liberty to do so.

But it is still better that the husband should pay the amount of dower to his wife.
