How to Use Evernote Skitch
open Evernote Skitch on your PC
and this window will open
this is Skitch’s toolbar
while this is Skitch’s editing toolbar
and this is Skitch’s editing window
Part 1:
Evernote Skitch’s Basic Editing Elements
this is the navigational toolbar
click Skitch for admin works
click New to open a blank window
click Open to view a previously saved file
click these for saving options
OPTION 1: save to evernote
OPTION 2: save as image
Click Print to make a hard copy of your file
click Edit for editing tools
click View to change the size of the editing window
click Tools to view the editing toolbox
There are two ways how to access the toolbox
Option 1: Click Tools in the toolbar
Option 2: check the navigational box on the left side of the window
Using the navigational box is more
convenient while editing
Toolbox Element #1 : add an arrow
Tip #1 : change the color by clicking the color box
Toolbox Element #2 : add a text
Tip #2 : again change the color by clicking the color box
Toolbox Element #3 : add a frame
Toolbox Element #4 : add a highlight to texts
Toolbox Element #5 : add colored stamp(s) to the image
Toolbox Element #6 : crop the image to a desired size
Toolbox Element #7 : change the color of texts or elements
click help for any program support
check show tips for quick Skitch tutorials
click show updates to update your Skitch desktop version
Click this arrow to Undo an edit (CTRL + Z)
Click this logo to reduce the window’s size
And click this logo to increase the window’s size
click Share to choose sharing options
Option 1: post image to Facebook
Option 2: tweet image to Twitter
Option 3: post image to your LinkedIn account
Option 4: copy the embed code for blog posting
Click Save to Evernote to create a saved version
on your Evernote account
you can edit an image while you are logged-on
on your online account with Evernote
Just click Sign-in and log-in into your Evernote account to do that
Part 2: Basic Editing with
Evernote
click screen snap to choose an image for editing
let’s start with a blank window
click the arrow to create an arrow
Arrows created have only only 1 design
so you can just only adjust the their size and color
click the letter to add texts
click anywhere on the text to get this effect
Change the color into pink by clicking the color box
Click on the blue dots and drag it through the mouse to resize the image
Or click the color box and drag the bar
to the left or right to resize the text
Click on the stick to choose a frame
There are four (4) frames to choose from
This window shows how the four (4) frames to look like when drawn
Click on the highlighted letter to choose
between a pen or highlighter to color texts
these are texts using the pen
while this is created using the highlighter
Click on the stamp to create colored
colored stamps on your images
add an X stamp like this
an exclamation point stamp maybe
or a question mark
Done perfectly? add a check stamp
How about adorable? add a heart stamp
these are how these stamps look like when used
Click on the crop tool to resize an image
Click the color box to change text or element’s color
Choose a color from this limited color scheme
As discussed earlier, drag this bar to resize the image
Let’s go back to this window to try another
Click Screen Snap to get a snapshot
of a portion of your laptop screen
This is how it will look like while
creating a snapshot of your screen
Take note of the instructions shown here
A snapshot will be opened in the editing window
Click the text tab to add a quote on the image
Change the font’s color to orange
Resize the text to fit into the desired effect of the image
Change the color to pink
Finally add a heart stamp next to the text
Let’s try another one
Click Fullscreen to get a snapshot of the whole screen
This is how it will look like
Take note that creating a Fullscreen snapshot
will require a full screen Skitch window
Click the arrow to get this image’s look
Click the text box to add texts to the image
And finally (for this tutorial), let’s try opening a file
Click Open a File to get a snapshot of the whole screen
Choose a location where to pick the image from
Choose a file location
click an image
and then click the OPEN tab to start editing
and then this image of a kitten will open in this window
