WHAT IS HACKING & ETHICAL HACKING……………….?
HACKING Computer hacking is broadly defined as
intentional accesses to a computer without any authorization
It is the control over computer network security systems for illicit purpose.
Hacking (Section 66 (2) IT Act) under cybercrime in India
ETHICAL HACKING Ethical hacking is an offensive activity or hacking
done with due permission from the client. The objective in it is to actively hack to identify
security issues. Ethical hacking is a trust building activity.

They are the computer experts they use programming skills to see the vulnerabilities in computer systems.
They are the computer criminals.exploits these vulnerabilities for personal gain
They are also computer experts
They have genuine license who focuses on penetration testing .
They have a motive to earn huge profits
They disclose the security flaw to the public
Don’t use their skills for illegal purposes
Use their skills for personal gains Ethical standards fall somewhere between strictly unselfish and strictly malicious
They improve the defence for security
Hack banks, steal credit card personal information ,placing malware ,etc.
Reasons either ethically or unethically depending on the condition and circumstances at hand.

Ethical Hackers.The current demand is booming due to government initiatives like Digital India ,Smart Cities.This demand is expected to surge as more startups and businesses go online.

NEED FOR ETHICAL HACKING IN INDIA
• Between 2011 and 2015, more than 32000 cyber crimes were reported across the country. • Greater than 24000 of these cases are registered under the IT Act • Maharashtra top with more than 5900 cases in the 5 years followed by Uttar Pradesh with 5000
cases.
• Karnataka is third with more than 3500 cases. • The cases registered under the IT act grew by more than 350% from 2011 to 2015

• The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) issues alerts and advisories regarding latest Hacking threats and countermeasures on regular basis.
• Government has decided to provide a centralized citizen portal through Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems(CCTNS) for registering online cyber crime complaints
• Anti hacking welfare society,it is a NGO.
