Advert Analysis: Bombay Bicycle Club At first glance of the advert the first thing that stands out is the abundance of light blue text scattered across the page. This text withholds key information within the advert. For example the name of the band, singles released on the album and the name of the album. All of which is vital information, which the reader may want to know. The most striking feature of the advert is the bands name at the top, which uses the biggest font size. This gets the point across right away that this is an advert for the band Bombay Bicycle Club so the reader can see if they want to read the rest of the advertisement or not. The light blue text stands out on what appears to be a very colourless and dull background. This adds more emphasis onto the text

Advert Analysis: Bombay Bicycle Club

At first glance of the advert the first thing that stands out is the abundance of light blue text scattered across the page. This adds more emphasis onto the text and has less of a distraction as appose to if there was a more vibrant or psychedelic background. The background features a rather dull black and white theme. The image used looks to be public area with lots of people stood waiting around, also featuring some trees and a small bit of skyline. One would assume this would be Bombay in India (Also known as Mumbai), using the prior knowledge the band is called Bombay Bicycle Club. However it seems rather odd how the designer would make the background so dull and uninteresting in the first place. In my opinion the advertisement isn’t very eye catching or lasting in the memory, which begs the question why would they intentionally create the advert like this?
