One of your main goals as a parent is to make sure your child is protected.

But did you know that one of the best ways to protect your child is to

make sure they have all of their vaccinations?

A few years ago, some parents were under the suspicion that the measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine was causing children to develop autism, but studies have since disproved that theory.

Vaccinations are safe, effective, and capable of saving your child’s life.

Vaccines are only given to children after long, careful reviews by scientists, doctors, and other healthcare

professionals.

The overall health benefits of a

vaccination far outweigh the possible side effects caused by

them.

•However this means they must receive several vaccination

shots at one time.

•You may give your child combination vaccines, which lessen

the amount of needle sticks while still providing protection

for your child against the same number of diseases.

The vaccine schedule is designed to ensure that every

child receives vaccines at the optimal time to protect them

from infectious diseases.

The schedule is updated every year. It is important that

your pediatrician is familiar with your child’s medical

history in order to know which vaccines should be

recommended.

To find out which vaccines your child should have this year, call an

experienced Orlando pediatrician at Family First Pediatrics at 407-335-4760 or schedule an appointment

online.
