Value creators in healthcare (Corrigan 2013)

• Within the current business model health care outcomesare created by medical staff; their kit and drugs.

• The patient is seen as a sponge on value just soaking it up

• Therefore if over the next decade you need moreoutcomes then you need more of these value creators

• Most value improvement work is aimed at improvingexisting value creators . But over time this will not createenough new value.

• Any new business model needs to find value creatorsthat at present are not seen as creating value.
