How am I going to do it?
The role of the Senior Social Worker/Occupational Therapist:
• Leadership Responsibility to the service user (Customer centred practices)
• Leadership Responsibility on behalf of the service (Representing the Council to a high standard at all times)
• Leadership Responsibility to Supervisees (in order to fulfil our ASCOF requirements )
Why am I going to do it?
Transforming service delivery in Lewisham .
• Council’s Vision and Priorities - Vision as outlined on corporate intranet states that “ Together, we will make the council the best place in London to live, work and learn”
• Adult Social Care driver for change – Care Act 2014 & Better Together Fund
• To meet the changing needs of the local population

Trusted Assessors (e.g. equipments and minor adaptations)

Mental Health services (e.g. CMHT)
Moving forward: Customer Journey 2014-2016
• Single access point (Health and Social Care staff group) *Prevention and Recovery • Reablement Services (Invest to Save)
• Longer Term Support *GP Clusters
• A reconfigured Hospital Social Work Service in line with the new customer journey
