Project Aims• To improve the ability of the SCOPE project to increase rates of ANC and PMTCT uptake in Ethiopia by increasing awareness, support and buy-in among key stakeholders and strengthening partnerships among them.• To assess stakeholder commitment and potential contribution.• To strengthen the sustainability of the project and develop a plan for expansion.

Stakeholder Interviews

Goal: To assess stakeholder support and gain insight and strategies to encourage future involvement and buy-in of key stakeholders• Themes

1. Maternal child health and HIV are priority issues.2. The relationship between the EOC and medical community must

be handled with care.3. Perceived lack of ownership of the project at various levels.4. Perceived lack of support, communication, and oversight and a

desire for a long term plan with clear expectations and goals.

Things that encourage continuation of work:1. Community expectations2. Conviction that this is God ordained work - Pride3. Encouragement from HEWs4. Recognition of success
