Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
ADHD is one of the most common childhood disorder. And this can be continued in the adolescence and to the adulthood for some.
As the name indicates, it’s common symptom is difficulty in paying attention, difficulty in controlling behavior and hyperactivity.
The studies conclude that 3% to 5% of children have this disorder. And mostly these affect 8% to 10% of school–aged students.
An adult with ADHD have difficulty with time management, goal setting, and other organizational skills.
Symptoms of ADHD
Difficulty in paying attention.
Frequent shift from one activity to another (without completing)
Procrastination.
Types of ADHD
1) Inattentive :-
- Majority of the symptoms are in this category.
- These kind of children will distract easily, avoid or dislike works that needs sustained effort.
- And these kind of children are often forgetful in daily activities.
2) Hyperactive :-
-Often squirms, fidgets and bounce when sitting.
- Doesn’t stay seated.- Difficulty in staying calm
and quiet.
3) Impulsivity :-
- Difficulty in waiting for his/her turn.
- Interrupts others.- Initiating conversation at
the wrong time.
