To Cry or not To Cry this is the
Question
Alfonso my husband 3 years ago fell from a wood ladder. He was putting things into the attic when he went up, the ladder broke.
He fell backwards, his head banged against the floor and his feet were trapped in the upper part of ladder.
I went to see what had happened and I found Alfonso unconscious, the blood flowed on floor from his head.
I got down his feet off the ladder and I put a towel under his head. I asked him – How are you?
But he didn’t understand or he didn’t listen. He only asked many times – What Happened to me?
I answered and he repeated again – What Happened to me?.Then I understood that it was serious.
I didn’t know what to do. I called the ambulance so that they will take him to the hospital.
He recovered consciousness while we were going to the hospital.
In the hospital practiced him various exams: Scanner, X-ray, and blood exams.
Alfonso had a open injury, but the doctors too discovered that the blow caused him a internal bleeding in the head under Dura Mater and It was growing every minute.
They decided to operate as soon as possible. In reality, there was no other solution.
I cried far from he because, I thought that he should feel overwhelmed and I should not want to hurt.
First the doctors cured the open injury and afterwards the neurosurgeon operated with his team. The operation was a craniotomy and a removal of the blood. It was high-risk, they put 2 titanium nails.
I again cried while I was waiting for the result, fortunately the operation finished fine. I always cried far from Alfonso, I wanted to appear strong.
Some days later, Alfonso asked to me –
Why did you never cry?
