Sugar is a carbohydrate that occurs naturally in foods such grains, beans, vegetables, and fruit.
Glucose is the fuel for all body cells.

broken down and digested very quickly.
• They enter the bloodstream immediately
after they are ingested causing a rapid rush in glucose levels.
SIMPLE CARBOHYDRATES
• Have very few minerals and vitamins
• Most simple carbohydrates are highly processed
• Food that contains refined sugar.
