“We must start to manage knowledge as if it were money. The application of what we
know will have a bigger impact on our futures than any drug or technology.”

• Fifteen children, ranging from 2-9 years old, will be fit with hearing aids by an audiology
team from Nova Southeastern University in winter 2014.
• Follow up visits are planned on an annual basis.
• Nova will test Phonak Distance Support as part of remote follow-up care provided to
families and clinics in between face to face visits.
– Start with small conservative steps such as reading datalogging
– Will provide feedback to Phonak on what tasks are not solvable or appropriate through
the current functionalities of Phonak Distance Support.
