Scalp Psoriasis and Drugs
Scalp psoriasis is non-contagious skin disease and similar to other types of psoriasis, cause of scalp psoriasis is also unknown. Though Scalp psoriasis is one of the non-curable diseases, but it can be controlled by using certain drugs.
Psoriasis is skin disease, which can appear anywhere on the skin. When it occurs on the scalp, normally it is called scalp psoriasis, which can spread beyond the scalp also. It may appear on the forehead, to the back of the neck or behind the ears. It is non-contagious skin disease and similar to other types of psoriasis, cause of scalp psoriasis is also unknown. But it's assumed that it is resulted, from an abnormality of the immune system. As abnormality results in fast growth of cells and hence builds patches on the skin.
Scalp psoriasis may develop fast if psoriasis runs in that patient’s family. Sometimes it is very minor and hence almost unnoticeable. It can also be severe, long lasting, and thick, which causes appearance on the skin. Strong itching may affect sleep and day to day life, while frequently scratching may lead to skin infections and hair loss. Mild Psoriasis hårbotten may include symptoms like very slight and fine scaling but if it is reasonable then it may include symptoms as follows:
Reddish plaques Silvery-white scales Dandruff-like flaking Dry scalp Itching Burning sensation or soreness Hair loss
Although scalp psoriasis not the direct reason of hair loss, but frequent scratching, removal of scales, and related stress can results in temporary hair loss. Even though, scalp psoriasis can't be cured, so many treatments and Läkemedel soriasis are available, which help relieve symptoms, get relief and prevent recurrences of that.
