INTRODUCTION

A professor of psychotherapy and cognitive behavior therapy at Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania, Maurice Prout, PhD, also works as the director of the re-specialization program. To help him stay up-to-date with changes in his field, Dr. Maurice Prout belongs to the Society for the Exploration of Psychotherapy Integration (SEPI).

SOCIETY FOR THE EXPLORATION OF

PSYCHOTHERAPY INTEGRATION

To help reach out to its U.S. members, SEPI features regional networks around the country. The Washington, DC, regional network held its first meeting on March 10, 2013. Organizers realized that many local like-minded individuals did not belong to the SEPI, so these leaders decided to open up the meeting to those interested in psychotherapy integration, regardless of membership qualifications. Since it began, the meetings have evolved to include more of a focus on structured presentations compared to open-ended discussions. This regional network has met 12 times, with one occurring on March 31, 2016, when Clara Hill, PhD, discussed Research on Meaning in Life.
