I chose this poster because the focus point of the poster was the hand. I wanted to use a hand for my poster because of the ring. In my trailer, the ring signifies death and mystery.

I wanted to add critic comments because I felt like my poster looked empty and needed it.

The poster had a dark background with white writing, so I wanted to follow this as I thought it was effective. I kept to simple colours such as red white and black because these were the colours that I used for my magazine and wanted to keep the same theme throughout.

The credit block under ‘The Possession’ was simple and credited people how it should. I liked this so I decided to use a similar to credit the directors, filmmaker and so on to the trailer.

Overall, I tried to follow the codes and conventions of a horror poster as much as possible. I wanted the focus point of my poster to be the hand and ring as the ring plays an important part to the trailer.
