The first 18 months consists mostly of study within the University
Year 1- Theory and basic practical skills
Year 2- Main topic areas• NMS• Neurology• Cardiorespiratory• Supplementary topics (electrotherapy, research
methods and psychosocial)
Year 3 – Clinical Practice, Professional Development, Research Studies
The Course…………
5 clinical placements each lasting 6 weeks•1 placement in year 2 after Easter•4 placements in year 3
To gain core experience in:
•Community, Neurology, Respiratory, Outpatients
Additional experience may include:•Women’s Health, Amputee Rehabilitation, Burns & Plastics, Mental Health, Paediatrics, Spinal Injuries, Orthopaedics, Elderly Care Learning Disabilities.
