Generic Orlistat (Orligal by HAB Pharmaceuticals Ltd. ) is used
for obesity management and has produced weight loss greater than
diet alone when used in conjunction with a reduced-calorie diet.
Weight loss was observed within 2 weeks of starting of therapy and
continued for 6 to 12 months. Orligal capsules are also used to
reduce the risk for regaining weight after prior weight loss. This
medicine is usually used for obese patients with an initial body
mass index (BMI) of 30 or more.

controlled room temperature i.e. 25C (77F) with excursions
permitted between 15 to 30C (59 to 86F). Keep this as well as all
other medicines away from children and pets.
Warnings

Generic Orlistat capsules have drug interactions and can reduce
vitamin absorption. Take a multivitamin supplement that contains
fat - soluble vitamins to ensure adequate nutrition.Rare cases of
severe liver injury with hepatocellular necrosis or acute hepatic

Patients may develop increased levels of urinary oxalate
following treatment with Orligal Capsules. Monitor renal function
in patients at risk for renal insufficiency. Substantial weight
loss could increase the risk of cholelithiasis. Organic causes of
obesity (eg, hypothyroidism) have to be excluded before prescribing
Orligal Capsules. Gastrointestinal events may increase when Generic
Orlistat (Orligal Capsules) is taken along with a diet high in
fat

Contraindications
Orligal Capsules are contraindicated in patients with a
hypersensitivity to Orlistat or any other component of this
medication. Other contraindications include Women who are pregnant,
nursing,or planning to become pregnant, patients with chronic
malabsorption syndrome, Patients with gallstones and patients with
cholestasis.

symptoms like Headache, Upper respiratory infection, Lower
respiratory infection, Urinary tract infection, Hypoglycemia,
Influenza, Fatigue, Menstrual irregularity , Anxiety, Oily
Spotting, Flatus with Discharge, Fecal Urgency, Fatty/Oily Stool,
Oily Evacuation, Increased Defecation and Fecal Incontinence.

Single doses of 800 mg Orlistat Capsules (Orligal) and multiple
doses of up to 400 mg three times a day for 15 days have been
studied in normal weight and obese subjects without significant
adverse findings. Additionally, Generic Orlistat capsule doses of
240 mg three times a day have been administered to obese patients
for 6 months without a significant increase in adverse
findings.
Generic Orlistat Overdose

recommended that the patient be observed for 24 hours. Based on
human and animal studies, any systemic effects attributable to the
lipase-inhibiting properties of Orlistat capsules should be rapidly
reversible.
