What Is Cancer ?

• Many people may just start off with asking what is breast cancer , or any other type of cancer but for starters what is cancer itself ?

• Cancer is a term used for diseases in which cells divide without control and are able to sort of attack other tissues . Cancer can also spread to other parts of the body through the blood and other systems in the body .

What are Different Types of Cancer ?

• There are many different types of cancer for example :

• Bladder Cancer ,• Breast Cancer ,• Colon Cancer ,• Kidney Cancer (renal

cell ), and • Lung Cancer . Now these

are just five types of cancer but there are plenty more .

• Bladder Cancer is a disease that effects the bladder , a organ that is responsible for storing your urine in the kidney . It is also the fifth most common type of cancer .

• Colon Cancer is a type of cancer that develops in the large intestine .

• Renal Cell is the most common type of Kidney Cancer .

• Lung Cancer is a disease in which cells develop in the tissue of the lungs . It is also the most common cancer among men and women .

Causes of Bladder Cancer and How Is It Treated?

• No one really knows what exactly causes bladder cancer , but however potential causes are especially in cigarette smoke .

• Bladder Cancer can be treated by surgery to remove the cancer cells or just part of your bladder . And if your entire bladder has to be removed , another surgery will create a new way for your body to store your urine .

Causes of Colon Cancer and How Is It Treated?

• I have researched that alcohol increases cancer risk . Also diets high in fat and cholesterol have been found to cause colon cancer .

• One treatment for people with colon cancer is surgery and chemotherapy .

Causes of Kidney Cancer and How Is It Treated?

• Its not really sure what causes Kidney Cancer , but doctors do know that kidney cancer begins when some kidney cells have mutations in their DNA . The mutation makes the cell grow and divide quickly .

• Treatment for kidney cancer really depends on the size and location of the tumor , and if it has spread to other organs . But it is treated with surgery , and radiation therapy .

Causes of Lung Cancer and How Is It Treated?

• No one really knows the cause of lung cancer , but smoking is the primary factor . Many scientists say that lung cancer has no single cause .

• The treatment on lung cancer depends on the type , and the doctor has to obtain specific information before even suggesting treatment to the patient .

• Breast Cancer is a tumor that starts in cells of the breast . Usually breast cancer develops in the milk producing glands , also less commonly breast cancer can begin in stormal tissues which include fat and connective tissues of the breast .

What Are The Causes of Breast Cancer ?

Gender is the biggest risk because breast cancer occurs mostly in women even though men can get it to . Age is also another factor, because breast cancer may occur at any age .

Can Breast Cancer be Prevented?

• Breast Cancer is a complex disease , and there is no sure way to prevent it from coming . Some people may go on a breast cancer prevention diet because they think it will help when really when you get breast cancer there is nothing you can do but wait for surgery and other procedures you have to go through to stop the tumor from growing , other than that there is nothing you can do .

What is Radiation Therapy ?

• Radiation Therapy , also called Radiotherapy is a way to destroy cancer cells in your breast that may still be there after surgery . Radiation can reduce the risk of breast cancer by 70% . Radiation therapy is easy and its side effects are limited to your treated area .

How can you treat Breast Cancer?

• To treat Breast Cancer you have many selections such as surgery , radiation , or chemotherapy .

What is Chemotherapy ?

• Chemotherapy is a treatment that uses medicine to destroy cancer cells in your body . In some cases , chemotherapy is given before surgery to shrink the cancer . Also, a combination of two or more medicines will be used as chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer.
