Composite Breast Augmentation
Composite breast augmentation, also known as Lipoimplant augmentation, is an
ideal option for women who want a more natural looking outcome while enhancing
bust volume. This procedure offers the benefits of both techniques as the implant
supplies the needed volume while the fat graft conceals the implant. The procedure
enhances the size and shape of the breasts and increases cleavage and fullness
in the upper part of the breasts. Lipoimplant augmentation is performed to:
Enhance existing implants
Correct deformities
Achieve maximum cleavage and fullness
Address tuberous breasts
Enhance the overall appearance of the breasts
Composite fat grafting has been found to be the ideal solution when it comes to
correcting a wide range of complications following breast augmentation and breast
reconstruction.
Procedure
The Lipoimplant procedure offers dual benefits:
- Core volume projection with improved cleavage and natural appearance
- Improved contour in the body areas from where the fat is extracted via
liposuction
The surgeon examines the patient’s physique and cosmetic goals so that a
customized treatment plan can be developed to achieve the required volume and
contour. Established surgeons make use of 3D imaging systems such as Axis
Three 3D and VECTRA 3D to plan the surgical procedure to suit the needs of the
patient, as these systems allow the surgeon as well as the patient to visualize the
possible outcomes of the surgery.
Fat is harvested from the donor areas such as abdomen, waist, thighs or flanks
through liposuction. The fatty tissues are then processed to in a special machine to
ensure survival. The augmentation procedure is then performed wherein an FDA
approved breast implants - saline silicone gel or gummy bear - are inserted over the
pectoralis muscle. The purified fat is then placed over the implant. This provides the
desired fullness in the upper part of the bust and makes the end results look more
natural, soft and appealing.
Recovery
The patient is advised to wear a compression garment to alleviate minor bruising,
soreness or swelling and for maximum support. Strenuous activities must be avoided
for a period of time as advised by the surgeon. Patients usually return to normal
activities within a week or two after the surgery.
Composite breast augmentation is offered at established plastic surgery practices
with expert plastic surgeons who have experience in performing the procedure. Using
advanced techniques and technology, such surgeons can provide outstanding results.
Choosing an AAAASF-accredited surgical practice dedicated to cosmetic breast
surgery would ensure standardized procedures with focus on patient safety and
comfort.
