2. Brief History
Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center was founded in 1925 as a
chronic care facility to serve the then Jewish Community. As the
community has evolved and diversified, Kingsbrook has expanded its
services and programs, to meet the needs of the large culturally
diverse communities that it now serves.
3. Kingsbrook Specialties
The Department of Medicine is the largest department within the
hospital. Which specialize in Intensive Care Unit, & Cardiac
Care Unit. Sub-specialties include: 4. Cardiology 5. Endocrinology
6. Hematology 7. Infectious Disease 8. Nephrology 9. Oncology 10.
Pulmonology 11. & Rheumatology

I am very interested in working in the pediatric department,
where I enjoy treating children with loving attention and warmth,
while providing exceeding medical care for acute andincorrigibleill
patients.

In addition I am very interested in the cryptologicdepartment,
where I could travel the world while work in the medical field and
enjoy my overall favorite subject science. Thishealth career is a
well balance of medical science that's adventurous, yet worth my
while.

Ms. Collins is a unit clerk in the patient rehabilitation
department who is responsible for themaintainableof the staff and
patients on the floor. In addition the facilitator that has guided
and nourished me throughout my time at Kingsbrook.

Being accepted into Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center was an
intriguing concept since I am fawn of the care facility. They treat
you like family with protection, care, and show you the respect
that they would want in return: 17. During the first few weeks in
September I felt as if I was the newbie on the first day of work
determined to work and co-operate with my fellow co-ordinates. 18.
After three to four weeks I was well expected and treated like a
fellow co-operative.

Since participating in this care facility I was able to
experience the true nature of the medical field, and have decided
to stick to my career choices for I know I must work hard follow,
stay on track, and follow good company to accomplish my goal in
working in the medical field, while helping others, and enjoy doing
what I love.
20. Did your change your mind on becoming a medical
professional?
My mind wasn't changed, but became more determined to
infiltrate in the medical field, and take on the world as it comes
at me.
21. Did community service help change you as a person? Did you
mature?
Kingsbrook has helped meto mature and comprehend the true
potential of the medical field, unlike the general hospital shows
that don't show the truth behind themedical professions.
