• Some of us in the room will have had personal, family & professional experiences in these areas

• Please be mindful of this when making comments & during our discussion

• Be respectful of others

• Be non-judgemental in comments

• You don’t have to share your own personal experiences (unless you want to)

• No matter how well you think you know the person sitting next to you, you may be unaware of some of their significant life events

• If you feel you would like your opinion heard, speak up (but not over others)

• If you feel upset with the discussion (topic, manner, lack of opportunity to be heard...), let the facilitator know

• If you notice a colleague becoming upset or distressed, offer them assistance & enquire if they would like you to bring it to the attention of the facilitator (at the time or at the end of the session)

• Leave the room if necessary & return when ready
