Skull

Function - Protects the brain and other organs like the head organ and the spinal cord and also protects knocks and bangs

Structure - Eight bones are surrounded by your brain. The bones are made up of thick hard bone called cranium

Ribs

Function, Protects heart and lungs and parts of your stomach,liver,spllen and kidneys.

Structure, Thin flat bones that are curved in the middle. In the middle is a strong bone called the sternum.

Spine

Function - protects the spinal cord and provides stiffness for your body and provides motion for your body.

Structure - the vertebrae has a irregular shape and has small discs of cartilage.

Femur

Function - Helps you move and provides support for your legs and structure

Structure - Femur is the longest bone in your body and without it you wouldn’t be able to stand up.

Relationships with another body system

The skeletal system provides the structure for the entire body ( frame work ) The bones are surrounded by muscles, tendons and ligaments which works together to help the body move example to stand up they are the structure.
