Generic Isotretinoin Capsules (Isotroin) is a retinoid with a
specific antiseborrheic action for oral treatment of severe cystic
acne and conglobate acne resistant to other forms of
treatment.Isotretinoin capsules work by cutting down the amount of
oily substances (sebum) made by our glands in your skin. Due to
significant adverse reactions associated with its use, Isotroin
capsules should only be used by patients with multiple severe
nodular acne who are unresponsive to conventional therapy,
including systemic antibiotics.

Generic Isotretinoin Capsules (Isotroin) have to be stored at
controlled room temperature i.e. from 20C to 25C (68F to 77F) with
excursions permitted between 15 to 30C (59 to 86F). Protect from
light. Keep this as well as all other medicines away from children
and pets.

Generic Isotretinoin Capsules (Isotroin) must not be used by
female patients who are or may become pregnant. There is an
extremely high risk that severe birth defects will result if
pregnancy occurs while taking Isotroin Capsules in any amount, even
for short periods of time.Generic Isotretinoin Capsules may cause
depression, psychosis and, rarely, suicidal ideation, suicide
attempts, suicide, and aggressive and/or violent behaviors.

The recommended dosage range for Generic Isotretinoin Capsules
(Isotroin) is 0.5 to 1.0 mg/kg/day given in two divided doses with
food for 15 to 20 weeks. In studies comparing 0.1, 0.5, and 1.0
mg/kg/day, it was observed that all dosages provided initial
clearing of disease, but there was a greater requirement for
retreatment with the lower dosages.
To decrease the risk of esophageal irritation, patients should
swallow the capsules with a full glass of liquid.

Contraindications
Isotroin capsules are contraindicated in patients with a
hypersensitivity to Isotretinoin or any other component of this
medication. Generic Isotretinoin Capsules (Isotroin) is also
contraindicated in females who are or may become pregnant.Generic
Isotretinoin can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant
woman.
