DIFFERENCES BETWWEN EUKARIOTIC AND PROKARIOTIC CELLS
Marc García Carda9(1)
Prokariotic Cells
The prokariotic cells are simple cells and don’t have a nucleus. Their genetic material is floting inside the cytoplasm and their organelles only have one membrane. Mostly unicellular and are really old.
Eukariotic Cells
The eukariotic cells are more complex cells and have a nucleus. Their genetic material is inside the nucleus and all their organelles have a double membrane. Mostly multicellular and are relatively new compared to prokariotic cells.
PROKARIOTIC EUKARIOTIC
• Unicellular• No nucleus• Organelles with
one membrane• Really old and
simple
• Multicellular• Have nucleus• Organelles with
two membranes• Relatively new
and more complex
