Google Translate• To DOWNLOAD this tool one needs to :

i) go to url: http://translate.google.com/translate_tools?hl=en&sl=en&tl=hiii) then from this section: Get 1-click translations from your browser's toolbar

• iii) drag 'Hindi' to one's browser.

By clicking on Hindi on the browser one can translate any content on a web page.

For example:

Advtgs & Disadvantages of Google Translate

• Advantages:– Easy and fast to translate.– Translates any web page open on the screen.– Most of the difficult words are easily

translated.

Disadvantages:

- Grammar needs editing after pasting.

- User unable to type in hindi on the website due to copy/paste requirement.

Google Transliteration

• http://www.google.com/transliterate/

• Type in English to get hindi script and copy/paste to hindi wiki.

• Advantage: Good tool get a correct hindi script to copy/paste on the wiki.

• Disadvantages: One needs to know the correct hindi word and grammar to be able to use this tool.

• Can be downloaded from: URL:https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2573

• As soon as you download – an icon will appear on your browser toolbar as follows:

• Once you’ve clicked on Easy Edit, select Language – Hindi from your Indic toolbar.

You can select two ways of typing on Easy Edit:

(i) Wx (Phonetic) and

(ii) Inscript.

Phonetic script will look like this if you type A,B, C, D, E, F etc.i.e. it will give you the typed letter in Hindi.
