*Half Nelson- The teacher was abusing drugs due to him

dealing with societies situations.

*Scenes of 4,3,2,1- Joanne’s friends are too busy to spend

time with her and she has her own problems to deal with. So

because of this she had lead to drink but in so doing,

her drink got spiked and things got out of control.

*Kidulthood- The new teenage mother struggles between

peer pressure and new adult responsibilities which result

in her drinking due to her distort isolation.

*The conventions which are in our opening sequence are;

*Alcohol abuse -> This is used.

*Domestic abuse -> this convention is challenged.

*Main character is a teenager- this is used.

*Stereotypical views of teenagers abusing themselves due to peer

pressure- this convention is used.

** Our Target audience was for 15+ because after watching or opening sequence 15 year olds+

would get more of a general understanding of the storyline more also getting a gist of the

moral message.

* We managed to attract this age group through the aging of the main character, making her

young and depressed.

* Also through the use of alcohol abuse this allows some teenagers to understand what she is

going through on a more minute scale due to the high statistics of teenagers being depressed

and finding comfort in alcohol or drug abuse.

* This could have been lead through peer pressure or neglect and we decided to emphasis that

throughout our opening sequence.

We decided to change our location

to Camden to distinguish the

difference between a more

expressive area to a posh area.

For the posh area as a group we came up with

the idea that High Street Kensington is more

appropriate for a more posh area. Through the

building structures and design this was

emphasised.

To show that the main character

was isolated within society, on

the bus was the best location

which we thought was suitable.
