What is D.A.S. medical?

DERMO ABLATION SURGERY is an innovative device, designed and manufactured in Italy.

It uses long-wave radiofrequency that generates plasma.

What is plasma?


Plasma is the fourth state of the matter and it is created by ionization of neutral gases present in the air.

A plasma can be created by heating a gas or subjecting it to a strong electromagnetic field, applied with a laser or radiofrequency generator. This decreases or increases the number of electrons, creating positive or negative charged particles called ions, and it is accompanied by the dissociation of molecular bonds, if present.

Please note that plasma represents 99% of the known matter in the universe.

How does plasma work?


The plasma spark created by D.A.S. medical sublimates the superficial layers of skin without causing major thermal injuries.

Using D.A.S. medical is like having a super-selective and delicate co2 laser system in your hand.

Why is D.A.S. medical treatment super-selective and soft?


D.A.S. medical uses the concept of gas ionization (air) like a conductor of the plasma spark. When the sparks reached the surface of the skin it discharges the highest energy that it carries at a temperature of about 2000° C.

The immediate sublimation of the tissues, with resulting absorption of (almost) all energy released by the system, ensures that the thermal damage is considerably circumscribed and therefore pain and necrosis associated with the treatment are significantly reduced.

How does it work?


D.A.S. medical features 5 different power and 5 different frequency levels that can achieve tissue contraction and super selective cutting. Therefore with D.A.S. medical physician have 25 settings to chose from to perform the best treatment.Dermo Ablation Surgery also has a cutting feature that amplifies energy and allows to cut and coagulate skin easily and quickly.

What is it Power?


D.A.S. medical power is the quantity of electrons generated by the plasma spark which reaches the tissue. Power determines the amount of tissue vaporized.What is it Frequency?Frequency represents the sequence of energy pulses which reach the tissue.Frequency determines the thermal damage.

D.A.S. medical sublimates small areas of less than 1mm2 of skin, allowing for a precise treatment.

With Dermo Ablation Surgery only the superficial layers of skin are treated with a layer by layer technique.

This is why D.A.S. medical does not cause major skin inflammation and redness. Therefore the healing process is faster than that of treatment with other systems (e.g. co2 laser).
