Mission: Dream Weavers is a small volunteer-based non-profit that serves the undocumented immigrant population of South Metro Atlanta. It was created on May 2013 as a result of President Obama’s executive order knows as “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals”.

Programs:

• Bilingual GED classes

• Baby sitting services

• Immigration workshops

• Referrals services

• Political advocacy

Wounded Warrior Project

Mission: Wounded Warrior Project was founded in 2002 as a veterans’ service organization offering service for wounded veterans in the military efforts following 9/11. WWP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the emergency assistance category. WWP’s mission is to honor and empower wounded warriors. Their vision is to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of service members in our nation’s history.

Programs:

• Combat Stress Recovery Program, Project Odyssey, Restore Warriors- mental health

• Transition Training Academy, Warriors to Work - assistance with finding and retaining employment

• Physical Health and Wellness Program- medical care for physical injuries

Mission

To offer hope to a patient for whom all hope for cure has been exhausted; hope for a maximum alertness, hope for independence and control over one’s life. To offer support to families by allowing terminal patients to live at home pain free and with dignity. To offer the opportunity to tie up loose ends, make reconciliations, to know “good” goodbyes. To offer spiritual guidance and answers to one’s search for meaning in one’s life and death. To offer relief from financial strain. To offer care and support to family members and significant others through the bereavement period. To offer support to the community through education on death and dying.

• Dream Weaver: Hire grant writer that could pull financial resources for the organization.
