Parkinson’s Disease caused by Toxicity and/or Trauma

Toxicities: • Pesticides• MSG• Excess Iron•Trauma•alcohol abuse•Neurotoxins (Neuro = Nerve Toxins = Poison)

• RX medication:Tylenol ( leading cause of liver damage) , anticonvulsant medications (such as dilantin, phenytoin and primidone) metformin (sometimes prescribed to control blood sugar in type 2 diabetes) sulfasalazine (used for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis) triamterene (a diuretic for high blood pressure) methotrexate (used for cancer and other diseases ie: rheumatoid arthritis) barbiturates (used as sedatives)

Deficiencies:• Decreased Folate • Not enough good fats (omega 3’s)

Folate Deficiency Linked to Parkinson's News Flash Vegetables Are Good For You!!!

The study found that dopamine-producing cells in the brain were more susceptible to damage and death when mice consumed a folate-deficient diet. diet with low folic acid levels … renders neurons in the brain vulnerable to dysfunction and death.Journal of January Neurochemistry 2002;80:101-110

Mayo Clinic study of 11,000 people found that diabetics had a greater decline in cognitive processing speed… and dementia

6,370 patients, ages 55 and older, Dutch researchers …type 2 diabetes faced nearly a 9% increased risk of developing dementia – and Alzheimer's disease

Harvard Medical School researchers …2,300 women, 70 to 78 years old. Women without diabetes were more than twice as likely to score better than those with diabetes.

"Based on calculations within the women in our study, we found that having diabetes was equivalent to aging 4 years in terms of scores”

10,000 people, cognitive test scores were compared six years apart. Diabetes was associated with greater cognitive decline in participants aged 40 to 70 years old,

13 studies were included. Of 34 533 patients, 18 315 received intensive glucose lowering treatment and 16 218 standard treatment.

a more than twofold increase in the risk of severe hypoglycaemia.

Over a treatment period of five years, 150 patients would need to be treated to avoid one myocardial infarction

142 patients to avoid one episode of microalbuminuria

47% increase in risk of congestive heart failure

9% reduction of glucose = 19% increase in all cause mortality 14% reduction of glucose = 43% increase in cardiovascular death.

typical soft drink contains huge amount of sugar, which is then quickly absorbed and enters into your bloodstream.

Sensors in your brain's hypothalamus will instruct your pancreas to secrete insulin

which causes the cells in your body to pull this overload of glucose out

of your bloodstream and store it for later use

Even when blood sugar levels are again normalized, insulin levels can remain high, because your liver may be unable to remove the circulating insulin fast enough.

Poison Disease Reaction

Page 10: Brain health

insulin's major role is not to lower sugar, but to take the extra energy when available and store it for future times of need.

Insulin lowers glucose as a side effect of directing the extra into storage.

when insulin is kept low either through diet or via genetic manipulation animals live much longer and the rate of aging is significantly reduced.

low insulin is a signal that energy is scarce and animals need to focus their energy needs on maintaining and repairing themselves so that they can outlive the famine

Heart failure patients with high systolic blood pressures had lower death rates.

Mortality rates were more than four times higher for those with systolic pressures of less than 120, in comparison to those who had pressure over 161.

These conclusions were gleaned from research on more than 48,000 heart failure patients seen at 259 U.S. hospitals between March 2003 and December 2004.

These 2 classes of heart drugs handicap the heart by blocking nerves that control heart muscle.

the blood output of the heart is artificially reduced, causing less oxygen to reach the body’s cells and tissues. The result will be normal blood pressure cuff .

The body is now being forced to go through life with less oxygen than it needs, and organs slowly start wearing out. Premature aging.

People who are diagnosed with heart failure and follow a treatment regimen that includes blood thinners such as aspirin or coumadin could be putting their health into more danger.

Based on the results from this study, experts said that treatment of heart failure involving a multitude of drugs that proved to be ineffective should be eliminated as a treatment option.

MS, Parkinson's Symptoms Reversed A study evaluated the data from 44 MS

patients and 37 PD patients who received treatment over a five-year period.

Results of Treating Upper Neck Injuries in 81 Patients •91 percent of MS patients showed improvement •92 percent of PD patients showed improvement

When Neck Injuries are Left Untreated Upper neck injuries usually occur as the result of accidents in

which the individual sustains a sudden hit to the head.

Symptoms of MS and PD could surface in months, years or even decades following the accident.

Often, the individual doesn't even realize the extent of the injury they sustained.

In Alzheimer’s disease (AD), an association with cholesterol is recognized, although poorly understood and often overlooked.

A study on membranes prepared from cortical grey matter of AD patients showed that the cholesterol… was reduced by 30%

This aberrant pattern could be restored to that found in the membranes from non-AD controls by cholesterol enrichment of the AD membranes.

It is of interest, therefore, that mice[cholesterol deficient] show many of the neurotransmitter deficits and loss of memory that are characteristic of AD

Correspondingly, there is evidence that induced depletions of neuronal cholesterol can affect synaptic plasticity and neurodegeneration

“Studies have shown that the body uses glutamate, an amino acid, as a nerve impulse transmitter in the brain and that there are glutamate-responsive tissues in other parts of the body, as well.

Abnormal function of glutamate receptors has been linked with certain neurological diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease and Huntington's chorea. Injections of glutamate in laboratory animals have resulted in damage to nerve cells in the brain.”

Alcoholism Cause Dementia from Deficiencies

Vitamin B12 (and also folate) deficiency; zinc deficiency; copper and other mineral..

The neglect of B12 deficiency is the most criminal, due to the ridiculously-low "normal range" US this range is usually about 200-900 Japan it is 500-1300 pg/ml Normal range should be 600-2,000

Depression and bipolar disorders, 'unexplained' fatigue, and even violent behaviors, are additional sequelae of B12 deficiency

MCTUp The Coconut oil Decrease Grains

coconut oil is a brain fuel. The damage done to your brain from the wrong foods and from unbalanced insulin and leptin levels begins decades before you show any of the telltale signs of Alzheimer's.The coconut oil or MCTs should also be taken in the morning, takes a minimum of three hours for the oil to convert to ketones and reach your brain. Repeating the dose of four tablespoons of coconut oil twice a day Gradually add more coconut oil every few days until you are able to tolerate four tablespoons.

MERCURY LINKED TO ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE!

Scientists have shown that trace amounts of mercury can cause the type of damage to nerves that is characteristic of the damage found in Alzheimer’s disease

Humans with mercury/silver amalgam dental fillings. found that exposure to mercury caused the  formation of “neurofibrillar tangles,” which are one of the two diagnostic markers  for Alzheimer’s disease.

Previous research has shown that mercury can cause the formation of the other Alzheimer’s disease marker, “amyloid plaques.” The scientists also exposed the test nerves to other elements, including aluminum, but found that only mercury caused the damage consistent with Alzheimer’s disease.

When blood pressure elevates, either due to plaque in the arteries or because of the demand for increased blood flow to the muscles to do some work, the heart has to work twice as hard to push all that blood through the system.

Choice #1 = drug the heart so that blood pressure gauges will read normal

Problem #1 = the heart is shackled by the added pharmacological deadweight, those oxygen demands don’t get met.

Effect: decreased circulation, oxygen deficit, fatigue, heart muscle degeneration, enlargement, degeneration of any organ or tissue which is not getting the blood, lung congestion, premature aging, and early death.

Choice #2 = Clean the Arteries

CHF, commonly referred to as simply "heart failure", is a disorder in which the heart loses its ability to pump blood efficiently, In addition to NSAIDS, other drugs such as beta-blockers and calcium channel blockers have also been shown to increase the risk of CHF.

Archives of Internal Medicine June 2000; 160: 777-784.

MOTRIN tablets contain ibuprofen which possesses analgesic and antipyretic activities.

Its mode of action, like that of other NSAIDs, is not completely understood, but may be related to prostaglandin synthetase inhibition

Cardiovascular Risk NSAIDs may cause an increased risk of serious cardiovascular

thrombotic events, myocardial infarction, and stroke, which can be fatal. This risk may increase with duration of use. Patients with cardiovascular disease or risk factors for cardiovascular disease may be at greater risk!

Gastrointestinal Risk NSAIDs cause an increased risk of serious gastrointestinal adverse events

including bleeding, ulceration, and perforation of the stomach or intestines, which can be fatal. These events can occur at any time during use and without warning symptoms. Elderly patients are at greater risk for serious gastrointestinal events

Page 63: Brain health

Labor and Delivery In rat studies with NSAIDs, as with other drugs known to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis,

an increased incidence of dystocia, delayed parturition, and decreased pup survival occurred. The effects of MOTRIN tablets on labor and delivery in pregnant women are unknown.

Nursing Mothers It is not known whether this drug is excreted in human milk. Pediatric Use Safety and effectiveness of MOTRIN tablets in pediatric patients have not been

established. Geriatric Use As with any NSAIDs, caution should be exercised in treating the elderly (65 years and

older).

The non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may block the production of prostaglandins, which are known to dilate blood vessels. When fewer prostaglandins are present, blood vessels may narrow, which could lead to hypertension.

The study followed more than 80,000 women between the ages of 31 and 50 years who were initially hypertension-free. Frequency of use (in days per month) of aspirin, NSAIDs, and acetaminophen was recorded and compared with the number of cases of physician-diagnosed hypertension two years later. Of women who used NSAIDs 22 days or more per month, the risk of high-blood pressure increased some 86 percent.

Nonetheless, it was concluded that a large portion of U.S. hypertension cases may be the result of over-using these pain medications

Page 75: Brain health

What chelation is and how it works

Chelation therapy is a safe, effective and inexpensive alternative to drugs and surgeries and is used to treat illnesses such as heart disease, strokes, diabetes, Alzheimer's disease and adverse reactions to environmental pollutants.

Chelation therapy is used to rid the body of unnecessary and toxic metals used to reverse the process of atherosclerosis. Often the chelation drip includes the addition of vitamins and minerals.

EDTA removes heavy metals and calcium from "wrong places" (blood

vessels and joints) and stops free radical damage by scavenging certain minerals that are promoting the free radical process. Degenerative diseases seem to be associated with the development of these free radicals which attack cell membranes. It also has an anti-aging property in that it prevents tissues and organs from hardening or stiffening due to calcium deposition which occurs as the tissues aged.

The epidemic-like character of these diseases is generated by a molecular biological phenomenon, namely so-called test explosions. Today molecular biology is capable of detecting the smallest quantities of DNA or RNA with the PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) and able to produce antibodies against it.

The connection between what has been isolated in humans or animals, and the presence of clinical symptoms, is a mere hypothesis.

Similar adjuvants are used in the following vaccines, according to Shaw’s paper: hepatitis A and B, and the Pentacel cocktail, which vaccinates against diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, polio, and a type of meningitis.

...“No one in my lab wants to get vaccinated,” he said. “This totally creeped us out. We weren’t out there to poke holes in vaccines. But all of a sudden, oh my God—we’ve got neuron death!” ---

CHEMICALS in hair dye could raise the risk of dementia, research suggests.

And it appears hairdressers face a higher than normal risk of suffering early- onset dementia, Alzheimer's disease and motor neurone disease.

Other studies have suggested they might be linked to cancer with rates of bladder tumours in women who dye their hair twice that of those who keep their natural colour. It is thought chemicals may build up in the bladder and so damage cells.

One Swedish study found that women who use hair dye for 20 years could be doubling their risk of developing arthritis.

Another report suggested the dye could cause birth defects in unborn children when absorbed through a pregnant mother's scalp and into her bloodstream.

Estimates suggest the average person older than 65 takes seven different drugs a day. Of these, four are prescription medications and three are purchased over the counter,” says UAB geriatrician Andrew S. Duxbury, MD, who notes that in the course of a year, elderly people typically fill prescriptions for more than 28 different medications.

Polypharmacy sets the stage for life-threatening adverse drug effects, nonadherence, and drug-drug interactions. The Institute of Medicine estimates medication-related problems kill more than 100,000 people each year. The cost of complications exceeds $85 billion.

Adverse drug effects are especially problematic in elderly persons who often suffer from several concurrent chronic illnesses that require management with multiple drugs and who have age-related changes in metabolism and excretion that affect pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics.

Studies have found that up to 30% of hospital admissions of elderly patients are linked to toxic drug effects and that one in three older patients will have an adverse drug reaction while hospitalized.

New research findings show that omega-3 fats in your diet may protect your brain cells. It works by preventing the

misfolding of a protein resulting from a gene mutation in neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson's and Huntington's.

Researchers developed a cell model with a mutation of the Ataxin-1 gene, which induces the misfolding of the protein.

These deformed proteins cannot be properly processed by the cell machinery, resulting in tangled clumps of toxic protein that

eventually kill the cell. But the omega-3 fat docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) protects cells from this defect.

The same researchers discovered earlier that neuroprotectin D1 (NPD1), a naturally occurring molecule in the human brain that is derived from DHA, also promotes brain cell survival.

NPD1 is capable of rescuing the dying cells with the pathological type of Ataxin-1, keeping their integrity intact.

European researchers report. Moreover, odds for the illness increase as exposure to these brain insults rises, the report found. For example, "Those who were heavily exposed to pesticides had a 41 percent increased risk of developing Parkinson's disease” said lead researcher Dr. Finlay Dick, from the Department of Environmental and Occupational Medicine at Aberdeen University Medical School, Aberdeen, U.K.

Hunting for the Hunza in You

There are five places on Earth where the people routinely live to over 120 years of age in good health with virtually

no cancer, diabetes, heart disease or dental caries. They remain robust and strong and are also able to bear children even into their old age. The most famous of these, Hunza in the Himalayas, has people who live to 120-140 years old.

Recently, with the introduction of Western Culture (junk food, fatty foods and sugar) these people started dying at the young age of 75.
